Aamir Khan is leaving no stone unturned to ensure that his upcoming wrestling drama, the Nitesh Tiwari-directed Dangal becomes a bigger hit than his last blockbuster, PK.
SpotboyE.com has exclusively learnt that designer duo Manoshi Nath and Rushi Sharma, who have worked with Aamir on films like Dhoom 3, PK and Talaash had been roped in for the costumes and had already started work on the designs.
However, after the initial few days, Aamir was not happy with what the duo came up with and the designers were quoting an amount that didn’t fit in the financial framework of the project (Aamir is a co-producer on the film).
As things stand now, Manu-Rushi (as they are known in the industry) have been shown the door. With the film set to go on floors in the next month, has the Dangal team found a replacement?
(Maxima Basu)
“Yes. Maxima Basu, who previously worked on Slumdog Millionaire and Peepli Live (an Aamir Khan production) has now been roped in and the project is sailing smoothly once again,” our source assured.
